Role Description This is a contract, remote role for a Clothing Tailor. The Clothing Tailor will be responsible for interpreting design specifications, taking and reviewing measurements provided digitally, and constructing or altering garments to achieve an excellent fit. Daily tasks include pattern adjustments, sewing, finishing, pressing, and quality checking garments before delivery. The role involves collaborating with designers, customer service teams, and clients to clarify requirements, recommend design or fit adjustments, and ensure that garments meet ANTIC’s quality standards. The Clothing Tailor will also document work, manage timelines for multiple orders, and maintain accurate records of alterations and materials used. Qualifications Strong technical skills in Tailoring and Dressmaking, including garment construction, alterations, and finishing. Proficiency in Fitting, with the ability to interpret measurements and body shapes from remote or digital inputs to ensure accurate sizing. Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams in a professional, responsive manner. Experience working with a variety of fabrics, patterns, and garment types (e.g., suits, dresses, outerwear) is highly beneficial. High attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a remote setting. Access to and experience with professional sewing equipment and tools in a suitable home or studio workspace. Prior experience as a tailor, seamster/seamstress, or garment technician in fashion, retail, or bespoke tailoring environments is an advantage.
