We’re looking for an experienced Claims Consultant to manage a portfolio of commercial property claims, including Business Interruption (BI). You’ll own the claim journey end to end - from first notification through to settlement - and play a key role in getting businesses back on their feet. We work in a broker-intermediated model, so you’ll build strong, trusted relationships with brokers as well as customers. It’s a partnership and your ability to communicate clearly and confidently will make all the difference. Our preference is for this person to join our Auckland team, however we’re open to talking to exceptional claims specialists based in other parts of the country and may consider a remote arrangement for the right person. What you’ll be doing Managing complex commercial property and BI claims from lodgement to settlement Making confident, well-reasoned decisions within your delegated authority Owning the customer and broker experience from start to finish Explaining policy coverage, indemnity and outcomes in a clear, human way Supporting team workflow and contributing to a positive, high-performing environment Looking for smarter, better ways to do what we do What you’ll bring Solid experience in commercial property claims (BI is essential) Rural claims experience is also of interest for us Sound judgement and the confidence to make decisions Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships A proactive, self-driven approach A mindset focused on improvement and doing right by customers Why Ando?
