Location: US (Remote)

Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

As we continue expanding our international footprint, we are looking for a Chief of Development to drive strategic growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and support the long-term expansion of Arival Bank across global markets.

Position Overview

The Chief of Development will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic growth opportunities across products, partnerships, markets, and business lines.

This role works directly with executive leadership and plays a key role in shaping the future direction of the company. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and deep knowledge of the banking and fintech ecosystem.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader who can transform opportunities into scalable business initiatives and help accelerate Arival Bank's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
• Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams.
• Lead business expansion efforts across new jurisdictions and international markets.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with financial institutions, fintech companies, payment providers, and ecosystem partners.
• Evaluate and develop new business models, partnerships, and commercial opportunities.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and emerging opportunities.
• Work closely with Product, Sales, Banking Partnerships, Compliance, and Operations teams to support growth initiatives.
• Lead high-impact strategic projects from concept through execution.
• Support commercial negotiations and partnership discussions with key stakeholders.
• Prepare business cases, growth forecasts, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
• Represent Arival Bank at industry conferences, networking events, and strategic meetings.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business development, corporate development, strategic partnerships, consulting, banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Proven track record of driving business growth and executing strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of banking, fintech, payments, and financial services ecosystems.
• Experience developing and managing senior-level business relationships.
• Strong commercial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital banking, payments, embedded finance, or cross-border financial services.
• Existing network within the global fintech and banking ecosystem.
• Experience supporting international market expansion.
• Background in high-growth startups, scale-ups, or rapidly growing financial institutions.
• Experience working with regulatory environments and licensed financial entities.
• Additional languages are a plus.
