Charity Description MissionAssist is a network of dedicated volunteers who support other mission agencies aiming to advance the gospel and make Scripture accessible worldwide. Our teams provide practical, academic, and administrative services from their own homes at no cost to the mission teams, for example online conversation partners for mission workers practising their spoken English; resources for literacy and community development; and over 200 volunteers involved in the Bible Digitisation Project. Role Description As a charity trustee, you will be responsible for considering long-term strategy; ensuring compliance with the governing document and charity law in England and Wales; and exercising sound judgement on matters of policy, risk and finance. Quarterly trustee meetings are either online or in person with an online option for remote attendees. There is also the opportunity to participate in working groups. Expenses are reimbursed. We are open to enquiries from people who are resident in the UK and who have the commitment and capacity to serve alongside the existing trustees for a term of three years. Note there is no requirement for trustees to relocate and the charity does not sponsor visas.
