About Us Map Labs is like Google Analytics for Google Maps. Our Mission is to increase trust and transparency in digital marketing. We cut through marketing jargon by measuring success with first-party data from Google Business Profile insights. These metrics directly or indirectly correlate to revenue for businesses across various industries. By improving outcomes against these metrics, we provide tangible results that our clients can feel in the real world and prevent them from investing in ineffective marketing strategies and tactics. Evan founded Map Labs because he was frustrated with the state of SEO. Before 2015, he worked at a marketing agency and was always trying to explain his SEO work to his clients so he could justify their marketing spend. He couldn't. Trying to explain Google rankings was impossible. Only Google knows how the algorithm works, and rankings fluctuate from one day to the next. One day he’d report a ranking result to a client, and the following day the client would call to say the ranking was different. How was Evan - or any SEO marketer - supposed to demonstrate value for their customers? In June 2014, Google launched "Google My Business" (the name at the time). GMB offered a different approach; they would give you hard data: how many visitors to your profile on Google Maps clicked the "Call" button; how many asked for directions; how many found your profile by typing in your company name into Google’s search engine and how many found you organically. Finally, data that mattered to a business because it had a correlation to revenue and helped our customers see the impact of marketing with Google. Job Description This is a remote position. What You’ll Do You’ll be responsible for finding and qualifying new potential selling opportunities (leads) in our Ideal Customer Profile, creating an appointment with that lead, and passing these off to an Account Executive to close the deal. Identify and research potential clients, industries, and markets to create a pipeline of leads. Nurture these leads via cold calls, cold emails, and social media (LinkedIn). Follow scripts and split test messaging. Make adjustments to scripts & playbook as fit. Develop Map Labs’ personas. Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand potential clients' challenges, objectives, and requirements. Maintain good relationships with your AE and prospects by acting as a trusted advisor. Maintain a disciplined approach by updating the latest status of your opportunities in our CRM. How You’re Measured By the number of quality appointments passed to an AE. “Quality” means the prospect shows up to the appointment. Your goal is, on average, one appointment per day.
