We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to support our client's Supplier Spend initiative. They need BA capacity to keep momentum, support testing, and continue maturing the agent and underlying data.
Key Activities:
- Ground Truth Data Validation – Validate and correct expected answers for MVP test prompts against source data (Oracle, contracts, invoices). Reconcile discrepancies and partner with business SMEs to confirm baselines where gaps exist.
- UAT Test Planning & Execution Assistance – Develop test scripts, coordinate testing cycles, and log/track defects in Jira grouped by category (accuracy, latency, stability).
- Backlog Grooming & Story Readiness – Ensure stories have defined acceptance criteria and story points prior to sprint planning. Support grooming sessions and maintain the SSI Jira board.
- Requirements Documentation – Maintain and refine the Product Requirements Document as MVP scope evolves based on UAT feedback. Begin capturing initial requirements for SpendIQ 2.0 features.
- Production Support & Documentation – Support development of the production support model, escalation paths, and user training materials.
Beyond MVP, the BA would also support the broader SSI roadmap, including:
- Expanding the user base and incorporating feedback into the Release 2 product definition
- Evaluating onboarding of new data sources (Anaplan, Essbase)
- Building requirements for a Review Queue to scale supplier spend optimization opportunities
- Investigating connectivity to other platforms (e.g., Glean) to improve SpendIQ's reach
- Supporting KPI measurement and reporting
- Incorporating agentic innovation into the architecture (user-specific memory, business process automation, self-editing knowledge bases)
Engagement Details:
Support through MVP launch and beyond, initially a 3-month commitment, with the option to extend based on project needs.
Required Skillset:
- Finance, Accounting & Procurement Functional Knowledge – Strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, invoice management, contract lifecycle, and supplier spend analysis. Familiarity with ERP ecosystems (Oracle EBS/Fusion, Coupa) preferred.
- Data Validation & Analysis – Ability to reconcile data across multiple sources (ERP, contracts, invoices) and identify discrepancies. Comfort working with large datasets and validating AI-generated outputs against ground truth.
- Agile/Scrum Practices – Proficiency in backlog grooming, story writing with defined acceptance criteria, story pointing, and sprint planning.
- Requirements Documentation – Experience maintaining Product Requirements Documents, capturing business requirements, user personas and translating stakeholder feedback into actionable user stories.
- Jira & Collaboration Tools – Hands-on experience managing boards, logging defects, and tracking progress in Jira. Familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation platforms.
- Stakeholder Communication – Ability to partner with business SMEs, technical teams, and leadership to align on priorities, escalate issues, and drive decisions.
- AI/ML Exposure (Preferred) – Familiarity with AI-powered tools or conversational agents is a plus, particularly around prompt testing, response validation, and agent tuning workflows.
- UAT & Test Management – Experience developing test scripts, executing test cycles, and managing defect tracking in Jira or equivalent tools.
