The selected candidate will contribute domain expertise in building codes, permitting, and construction compliance to train and evaluate next-generation AI models. This role directly shapes how AI systems learn, reason, and perform across critical infrastructure domains by providing real-world compliance reasoning and documentation. The work supports high-stakes applications in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects worldwide. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed reviews of architectural and engineering plans to assess compliance with international, national, and local building codes. • Interpret blueprints, permit documents, zoning requirements, and construction documentation to extract code-relevant data. • Analyze complex code-related scenarios and deliver clear, structured compliance reasoning and recommendations for AI training. • Identify permitting issues, code violations, and regulatory concerns across diverse project types and jurisdictions. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and permitting authorities to resolve compliance questions and validate interpretations. • Produce concise written reports summarizing findings, reasoning, and actionable insights for AI model improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in building code compliance, permitting, or construction regulation with a focus on residential and commercial projects. • Proficiency in interpreting architectural blueprints, construction documents, and zoning ordinances with accuracy and attention to detail. • Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes including IBC, IRC, NFPA, OSHA, ADA, and relevant state/local amendments. • Ability to analyze complex regulatory scenarios and communicate compliance reasoning clearly in written and verbal formats. • Experience working with digital documentation systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams in construction or related fields. • Familiarity with construction processes, inspection protocols, and common compliance challenges in permit acquisition and occupancy phases.
