In this hourly, remote contractor role, you will work as a Brand & Strategy Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review AI-generated brand strategy, positioning, and go-to-market outputs and/or create expert brand and strategy content, evaluating reasoning quality and step-by-step strategic thinking while providing precise written feedback. You will assess solutions for accuracy, clarity, brand fit, and adherence to the prompt; identify issues in customer insight, segmentation, messaging hierarchy, positioning logic, differentiation, competitive analysis, and go-to-market planning; fact-check claims where needed; write high-quality explanations and model deliverables (e.g., positioning statements, messaging frameworks, briefs) that demonstrate correct strategic reasoning; and rate and compare multiple responses based on correctness, usefulness, and reasoning quality. This role is with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your brand and strategy expertise directly helps improve the world’s premier AI models by making their strategic marketing outputs more rigorous, on-brand, actionable, and clearly explained. Important There is no immediate project for this role; however, if qualified, you will be among the first experts we reach out to when relevant opportunities arise. This will also provide you with access to future projects available through our expert network. Key Responsibilities Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard brand/strategy outputs (briefs, frameworks, messaging, GTM plans) to guide AI learning. Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve strategic rigor, clarity, brand alignment, and practical usefulness. Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, hallucinated claims, bias, and brand-risk issues; validate reliability across industries and audiences. Your Profile Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). 5+ years of professional experience in brand strategy, product marketing, strategy consulting, or integrated marketing strategy (agency or in-house). Strong command of positioning and messaging (value prop, proof points, objections, narrative, and tone adaptation). Demonstrated ability to develop customer insights (qual/quant research interpretation, personas/JTBD, segmentation). Strong strategic reasoning: translating ambiguous goals into clear strategy, prioritization, and measurable choices. Ability to evaluate and improve deliverables such as brand briefs, messaging hierarchies, campaign concepts, creative strategy, and GTM plans. Exceptional attention to detail when spotting weak logic, unsupported claims, misaligned tone, or risky assertions; minimum C1 English proficiency. Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones. Previous experience with AI data training/annotation, editorial QA, strategy ops, or content review workflows is strongly preferred.
