Bookkeeper (Remote)

Job Title: Bookkeeper Industry: Finance / Financial Services Location: Caribbean Region (Fully Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting the financial team with month-end and year-end processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting principles, familiarity with financial industry practices, and proficiency in bookkeeping software. Key Responsibilities: Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain up-to-date financial records and assist in financial reporting. Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments. Assist with payroll preparation and related tax filings. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Liaise with external auditors or accountants as required. Generate reports on financial status, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Key Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA Level II-III or related field preferred Proven 2-3 years experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with the financial services sector or experience working in finance-related environments is a plus. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Preferred Skills: Experience with regulatory filings and compliance in the finance industry. Understanding of financial statements and investment accounts. Ability to adapt to evolving financial technology tools.
