BNG Sales Lead WE ARE ECOSULIS We’re building the UK’s leading nature restoration business. As our BNG Sales Lead , you’ll sell biodiversity units linked to our established pipeline of projects to key national and regional infrastructure and utility customers, as well as strategic development customers — directly funding real habitat recovery on the ground. You’ll own the complete B2B pipeline, close high-value deals, undertake Key Account Management and be a major contributor to a growing market that’s expanding rapidly. This is a strategic sales role: and your job will be to find buyers, build relationships, and close deals that turn biodiversity net gain from a regulatory obligation into a funded reality. About Ecosulis Ecosulis is a specialist habitat restoration and biodiversity company. We operate the flagship Broughton Sanctuary habitat bank in North Yorkshire (in partnership with CreditNature) and hold Tier 1 partner status on the National Grid Carbon & Nature Framework. What You’ll Do Win and Manage Key Accounts Own the full sales cycle with named corporate accounts — from qualifying opportunities through to closing deals and contracts Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers at utilities, developers, and infrastructure providers across England , starting in the North. Conduct site visits and provide tours around key sites, such as at Broughton Sanctuary and other habitat banks to demonstrate quality and close deals . Maintain an accurate pipeline in HubSpot, forecast confidently, and report progress to the Head of Business Growth . Develop the Market Identify and target priority buyers across housing, infrastructure, energy, and utilities sectors Engage with Local Planning Authorities and ecology officers to position Ecosulis as a preferred habitat bank provider Build referral relationships with planning consultancies and environmental advisors working on major infrastructure projects Represent Ecosulis at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities S upport the Sales Engine Work with marketing to develop targeted collateral, case studies, and thought leadership content Manage framework compliance and due diligence processes as part of the sales cycle Respond to emerging procurement opportunities as the market transitions to new dynamic purchasing models Your First Year So you know what success looks like: By month 3: You’ll have completed onboarding with our ecology and business growth teams, own 5–8 named target accounts, and have conducted initial discovery meetings with each. By month 6: You’ll have progressed your first 2–3 deals to Reservation Agreement or contract stage. By month 12: You’ll manage a healthy pipeline and be forecasting confidently against your annual revenue target. We’ll pair you with our Head of Business Growth and Project Development L ead for structured onboarding. You’ll already be familiar with BNG policy and the biodiversity metric, however, you will rapidly apply this and expand our project portfolio , working with internal experts — you’re not starting from scratch . What You’ll Bring Essential — we need to see evidence of these: You’ve closed complex B2B deals (ideally £ 10 0k+ contract values) and managed a structured sales pipeline , preferably in relation to BNG or natural capital You build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers over multi-month sales cycles You learn fast in technical or regulated markets and can explain complex concepts to non-expert audiences You’re self-motivated — you set priorities, manage your own diary, and take ownership of your results You’re comfortable with CRM tools, forecasting, and producing clear sales reports Desirable — a bonus, but we can teach you: Background in environmental markets, sustainability, ESG, natural capital, or nature-based solutions Experience selling into utilities, infrastructure, or public sector procurement Familiarity with BNG policy, habitat banking, or the biodiversity metric The Details Job type: Permanent, full time Salary: £ 45,000–£60,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus linked to pipeline and conversion targets. Location: Remote (North of England based preferred ), with regular client and site travel Reports to: Head of Business Growth A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle will be required for this position.
