Job Title: Billing Specialist (Customer-Facing Invoicing) Location: Remote – Latin America Preferred Type of Contract: Full-Time - Contractor Salary Range: Market Rates Language Requirements: English (Written and Spoken) We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist with experience in customer-facing invoicing and billing reconciliation to join our growing logistics support team. You will play a key role in generating accurate, timely invoices and resolving billing discrepancies by coordinating with internal operations teams and external customers. Your work will directly impact cash flow, customer satisfaction, and billing efficiency. Key Responsibilities Generate and issue customer invoices based on completed logistics shipments Ensure invoices align with contract terms, agreed rates, and applicable accessorials Audit required billing documentation, including PODs, BOLs, and rate confirmations Track invoice status, approvals, disputes, and resolution timelines Respond to customer billing inquiries with clear, professional communication Maintain accurate billing data within ERP, accounting systems, and/or TMS platforms Collaborate with operations teams to confirm shipment details and resolve discrepancies Support month-end billing close activities and basic billing-related reporting Must-Have Qualifications 1–3+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or finance support Strong written and spoken English for customer-facing communication High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy Proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets and/or Excel) Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume invoice workflows in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in logistics billing (3PL, trucking, freight brokerage, or freight forwarding) Familiarity with accessorial charges such as detention, TONU, lumper, and layover Experience using accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar Exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and billing workflows
