Job Title: Bankruptcy Charge-off Specialist

Contract Length: 24+ Months

REMOTE WORK

Pay: 24 per hr on W2

Seeking a Financial Operations Representative to provide high-quality, compliant customer service for members with loan and credit card accounts. This role is responsible for handling inbound service calls, processing payments, providing account information, and supporting accounts involving bankruptcy, deceased estates, and charged-off debt.

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of inbound call center experience servicing:
• Loan and credit card accounts in bankruptcy status
• Accounts belonging to deceased customers/members (estate accounts)
• Charged-off loan and credit card accounts resulting from excessive delinquency
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in all three areas above.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer service calls regarding loans and credit card accounts.
• Accept payments over the phone.
• Provide account balances and account activity information.
• Order and process:
• Statements
• Payoff letters
• Paid-in-full letters
• Deliver high-quality, compliant customer service.
• Assist customers with questions related to bankruptcy, estate, and charged-off accounts.

Required Skills

• Experience servicing loan and credit card accounts in bankruptcy status.
• Experience servicing accounts belonging to deceased customers/members (estate accounts).
• Experience servicing charged-off accounts due to excessive delinquency.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume inbound call center environment.

Required Technology Experience

• Microsoft Outlook
• Slack
• Corporate collections systems used to view account balances and activity

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates without direct bankruptcy, estate, and charged-off loan/credit card servicing experience should not be considered. Experience in all three areas is strongly preferred.
