About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Banking & Payments Project Manager to lead the delivery of payment, banking, and fintech initiatives across multiple stakeholders and systems. You will manage end-to-end projects involving payment gateways, banking integrations, card processing, compliance, and financial operations while coordinating cross-functional teams across technology, operations, compliance, and business units.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering projects in payments, fintech, digital banking, acquiring, issuing, or regulated financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of banking and payments projects from initiation through implementation and post-launch support
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate with engineering, compliance, operations, product, and external banking/payment partners
• Drive delivery of integrations with:
• Payment gateways
• Card processors
• Banking APIs
• Open Banking / PSD2 providers
• SWIFT / SEPA / Faster Payments rails
• Work closely with compliance and risk teams on:
• AML/KYC requirements
• PCI DSS controls
• Regulatory reporting
• Data privacy requirements
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and release planning
• Define project scope, business requirements, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans
• Monitor delivery performance and provide regular status reporting to leadership
• Manage third-party vendors and external technology providers
• Support production releases, issue management, and operational readiness
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives

Required Experience

• 5+ years of project management experience in banking, fintech, or payments
• Proven experience managing payment or banking technology projects
• Strong understanding of:
• Payment processing
• Card issuing/acquiring
• Payment gateways
• Bank integrations
• Reconciliation flows
• Transaction lifecycle management
• Experience working in regulated financial environments
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies
• Experience coordinating technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong risk management and problem-solving skills
