About The Role We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team at Prorsum Technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems tailored for fintech applications and financial transaction processing. This role requires a deep understanding of microservices architecture, data security, and compliance with financial regulations such as PCI, KYC, and AML. The Backend Engineer will collaborate closely with frontend developers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that have a tangible impact on the financial ecosystem, leveraging modern cloud platforms and development practices. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with relevant experience in backend development. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of professional experience in backend engineering, with proven expertise in designing and deploying microservices architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential. Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate knowledge of secure coding practices, data encryption, and compliance frameworks specific to the fintech sector. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success in this role. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for fintech applications, ensuring high availability and performance. Create RESTful and gRPC microservices to support modular and scalable architecture. Implement robust security measures including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms to safeguard sensitive financial data. Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, focusing on data modeling, indexing, and transaction management to optimize performance. Develop event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ to facilitate real-time data processing and communication between services. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS, KYC, and AML regulations, incorporating necessary controls and audit logs. Deploy and manage backend services on cloud platforms, implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes. Collaborate effectively with frontend developers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated solutions. Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues promptly, and optimize backend processes for improved efficiency and reliability.
