LEAF works with audit firms that require practical support in maintaining and monitoring audit quality in line with professional standards and regulatory expectations. Many of the reviews performed by LEAF are requested by clients due to regulatory, professional, or quality management requirements. Role Description We are hiring an Audit Quality Reviewer to join our team in a remote position . The role involves assisting with engagement quality reviews ("EQR's", and monitoring file reviews for audit firms. The reviewer will support the review process by evaluating audit documentation, identifying potential findings, preparing clear and practical review comments, and communicating matters requiring further consideration. The successful candidate will assist the Registered Auditor responsible for the review work. Final review conclusions and sign-off remain the responsibility of the Registered Auditor. This role is suited to someone who enjoys technical audit work, has strong attention to detail, can work independently, and understands the importance of audit quality in a regulated environment. Key Requirements The ideal candidate should have: A relevant professional qualification or designation, preferably SAIPA, ACCA, AGA(SA), or a similar accounting or audit-related qualification. Practical external audit experience. Knowledge of audit methodology, audit documentation requirements, financial statements, and professional standards. Familiarity with standards such as ISQM 1, ISQM 2, ISA 220, the ISAs, and applicable IRBA requirements. Experience working with audit programs such as CaseWare, Draftworx, or similar audit software. Strong Excel skills. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to document clear, constructive, and practical review comments. The ability to apply professional judgement and professional skepticism. The ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work. Remote Working Requirements As this is a remote position, the candidate must have: A reliable fiber internet connection. Their own laptop. Their own cellphone. A suitable remote working environment.
