About the Company Garawell Games is a focused mobile studio building high-quality hybrid-casual and casual titles. With over 1 Billion total downloads from our hyper-casual hits and millions more from our growing hybrid-casual portfolio, our team is dedicated to creating global successes. About the Role We are looking for a visionary Art Director / Senior Game Artist who can define the visual identity of our games. You will bridge the gap between 3D and UI, ensuring a consistent, stylized, and readable aesthetic suitable for casual mobile puzzle games. You will not only guide the visual decision-making process but also get hands-on with technical organization and production within Unity. Responsibilities Art Direction & Visual Consistency: Lead the art direction process and visual decision-making. Ensure seamless visual consistency between UI elements and 3D environments. 3D & UI Production: Create stylized, readable 3D models (like vehicles, mechanics, and blockers). Design UI elements that share the exact same visual language as the 3D assets. Mobile Optimization: Design with low-end iOS and Android devices in mind. Maintain low polygon counts and use optimized textures for mobile performance. Technical Implementation: Work directly within Unity using the Built-in Render Pipeline (BiRP). Maintain clean file structures, naming conventions, and tidy prefab hierarchies. Animation & VFX: Prepare fitting animations and effects for game mechanics (like breaking ice, unlocking garages, or unrolling carpets). Create engaging UI celebration effects like fireworks and confetti. Qualifications Proven Experience: Experience as an Art Director or Senior Game Artist. You have a strong understanding of the mobile puzzle game feel and user experience. Stylized Aesthetic: A strong portfolio showcasing stylized, readable designs, as realistic rendering is not our target. Technical Proficiency: Strong Unity experience (Unity 2022+) and familiarity with version control using Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket). Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain consistent world scales for 3D models and proper 9-sliced usage for UI elements without distortion on wider screens. Required Skills Art Direction & Visual Design 3D Modeling & Texturing UI Design & 9-slicing Unity (BiRP) & Git Mobile Optimization (Low-poly) Animation & VFX Why Garawell Direct impact on prototypes that can reach millions. Creative autonomy and a polish-first prototyping culture. Remote-friendly, virtual office setup with fast feedback cycles. Work on varied projects rather than a single long pipeline, bringing fresh visual styles to life. How We Hire We’ll first reach out with a brief message. You’ll complete a short application survey. A 5–10 minute intro chat. A case assignment (Focusing on a game scene creation, blocker models, and UI design within Unity). Offer decision based on the case and overall fit. Apply on LinkedIn with your CV + portfolio (please include 3D models, UI designs, Unity implementations, or any relevant art direction work).
