We're looking for application security professionals to bring real-world security reasoning to frontier AI training projects. This isn't abstract research. You'll be working with realistic scenarios drawn from the kind of vulnerabilities that appear in production systems every day — helping AI learn to think the way a skilled AppSec engineer does. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior Classify vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, access control issues, and business logic weaknesses Evaluate the real-world exploitability of security findings — separating critical risks from theoretical noise Review and assess secure coding practices and remediation strategies Help create and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI how to assess and prioritize application risk accurately Provide structured written feedback that reflects expert-level security thinking Who You Are 2+ years of experience in application security, product security, or software security roles Solid familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities Able to think like an attacker and a defender — you know what's exploitable and what isn't Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate security reasoning clearly and systematically Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with penetration testing, bug bounty programs, or secure code review Familiarity with API security, cloud environments, or modern web application stacks Background in security engineering or developer-facing security tooling Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and meaningful impact Your security expertise shapes how AI understands and communicates real-world risk Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
