Anti Fraud Analyst

Hi! We are Coins.ph - an Asia fintech company. Our main product is a mobile wallet that helps people in Asia pay and transfer money without doubts. We built one of the largest cash distribution networks in the Philippines, operating through over 33,000 partner locations domestically and over 500,000 locations worldwide. Plus, Coins.ph is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and is the first ever blockchain-based company in Asia to hold both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses from a central bank. Now we are looking for Anti fraud analyst. Our Security team mostly works remotely, but our HQ is located in Manila, Philippines. We have a geo-dispersed team of engineers who work in Europe and Asia with flexible working schedule. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Background in mathematics and statistics. Understanding of fraud patterns and techniques in fintech/payment industries. Scripting skills enough to do the analytics: Python (pandas, numpy), SQL. High level of responsibility and attention to details. Report writing skills. Fluent English. WOULD BE A PLUS Familiarity with the local\international underground behavior. Experience with crypto platforms and relevant risks. Practical experience in data mining in Anti-Fraud field (statistics research, fraud trends research, fraud patterns detection, anti-fraud rules development). Data Science awareness. Familiarity with Amazon Athena, Apache Spark, Databricks toolsets. RESPONSIBILITIES Analysis of the event logs and statistics, detection of anomalies and fraud patterns. Investigations of fraud cases and incidents. Help in the development and adoption of anti-fraud rules and anti-fraud system requirements. Documentation of the patterns and writing the incident reports, interaction with Development and Data Science teams. Prepare analytics and trends reports.
