Job Description Allocator (6-Month Contract) – Remote The Opportunity We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Inventory Allocator to join our Allocation team for a 6-month contract . This role offers a unique blend of hands-on execution and strategic ownership—tailored to your experience level and designed to make an immediate impact. What You’ll Do You’ll play a key role in ensuring the right products are in the right places at the right time - supporting both day-to-day execution and broader business outcomes. Core Responsibilities: Execute allocation strategies across stores and product categories Maintain size profiles and ensure balanced inventory distribution Support system updates, model entries, and data accuracy Monitor inventory levels to proactively address risks (stockouts, overstock) Maintain reporting tools and provide visibility to key metrics Collaborate with allocators and cross-functional partners Opportunity to Expand Your Impact: Take ownership of allocation for a specific category or business segment Analyze sales and inventory performance to inform decisions Partner closely with merchandising teams on inventory strategies Provide insights and recommendations to improve sell-through and productivity Contribute to seasonal planning and post-season analysis What You Bring Must have 1–2+ years of retail allocation or related experience Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into action Comfort working in Excel or similar tools Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Confidence collaborating and communicating across teams Experience in retail allocation, planning, or inventory management Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) Understanding of inventory flow, size curves, and forecasting Pay: $50,000 This posting is for an existing vacancy within Designer Brands Canada.
