About The Role
The Clinical Administrative Coordinator position is a vital role within our healthcare operations, primarily focused on coordinating clinical services and administrative processes in a remote setting. This full-time role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States, with scheduled shifts during our operational hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Pacific Time. The position involves managing communication and documentation related to patient referrals, prior authorizations, and clinical requests, ensuring seamless workflow between hospitals, clinics, and the clinical team. The role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information securely. The Clinical Administrative Coordinator acts as a key liaison between healthcare providers, members, and internal teams, contributing to process efficiencies and improved healthcare delivery. Training is provided virtually, and occasional overtime and weekend coverage may be necessary to meet operational needs. Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of 2+ years of customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift within the hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Pacific Time
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and participate in weekend rotations
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities to manage service requests from members and providers via phone, fax, or provider portal
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals, prior authorizations, including intake, notifications, and census roles
- Assist clinical staff in setting up documents and triaging cases for Clinical Coverage Review
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues raised by members and healthcare providers
- Support special projects and additional tasks as assigned, contributing to overall operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with privacy and security standards
