This role focuses on hands-on Natural programming and ADABAS database development, with responsibilities spanning full Software Development Life Cycle activities, including production support, enhancement, and modernization support. The position works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions while contributing to team mentorship and knowledge sharing. Key Responsibilities Application Development & Support Develop, modify, and maintain applications using Natural in an ADABAS environment Support retirement claims and financial services systems through enhancements and maintenance Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system stability and performance Participate in full SDLC activities including design, development, testing, implementation, and support System Integration & Enhancement Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and implement requirements Enhance system functionality while maintaining data integrity and performance Support integration initiatives involving legacy and modern platforms Technical Collaboration & Mentorship Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT staff and business users Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge transfer to team members Assist onsite staff with technical training and support as required Documentation & Quality Assurance Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and system updates Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices Support testing and validation of system enhancements and bug fixes Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience 6 or more years of hands-on experience with Natural programming and ADABAS databases Experience working within NaturalONE or Eclipse development environments Strong understanding of payroll, accounting, or financial systems Experience providing production support and troubleshooting application issues Preferred Qualifications Experience working with JCL and batch or online mainframe processing Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation Understanding of version control and software development best practices Exposure to integration of legacy systems with modern platforms Core Skills & Attributes Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to work collaboratively in distributed environments Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to mentor and support team members Attention to detail and commitment to system reliability and performance This is a remote position.
