Job Overview We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and highly dependable Accounting and Finance Manager to oversee client accounting engagements for Beyond the Books and ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial support for U.S.-based clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting work, careful review, process improvement, and solving complex accounting issues with accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a structured remote environment, reviewing work thoroughly, identifying errors or gaps, and maintaining high standards across client accounts. The right person will bring strong accounting judgment, deep attention to detail, and the discipline to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and compliant with U.S. GAAP. Key Responsibilities Serve as the accounting lead for select Beyond the Books client accounts, providing technical review and guidance as needed. Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and cleanup work as needed. Review client deliverables for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. Prepare and review financial reports, management reports, reconciliations, and other client-facing accounting deliverables. Analyze accounting issues, reporting discrepancies, and process gaps, then recommend practical and accurate solutions. Maintain clean accounting processes, documentation, reporting timelines, and quality control standards across client accounts. Support onboarding for new clients by reviewing existing accounting records, identifying cleanup needs, and helping establish reliable accounting workflows. Coordinate with internal team members to ensure client work is completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule. Communicate clearly with internal teams and client stakeholders regarding accounting findings, reporting issues, and recommended next steps. CPA license, active or inactive, required. Big 4 public accounting experience required. Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prior experience supporting U.S.-based companies or clients. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, reconciliations, and technical accounting standards. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and process gaps. Exceptional attention to detail and high personal accountability. Ability to work independently in a structured remote environment.
