2D Game Artist / Visual Designer (Mobile F2P)

Laser Focus is a fully remote mobile game studio focused on creating competitive multiplayer games for players around the world.

Our portfolio includes Homerun – Baseball PvP Game, Goal – Football PvP Game, PowerPlay – Ice Hockey PvP Game, Buzzer Beater, Touchdown, and most recently Knights – PvP Game.

We are a small, hands-on team with big ambitions. Our goal is to build strong, engaging mobile games with clear visuals, satisfying progression, and competitive gameplay. While our core focus has been sports PvP games, we are also exploring new genres and new visual directions.

We’re looking for a 2D Game Artist / Visual Designer with a strong visual sense, good taste, and a practical understanding of mobile F2P games.

This role is focused mainly on game visuals, Live Ops content, UI polish, icons, rewards, banners, and AI-assisted art production. You will help us create visuals that are readable, attractive, and effective on mobile screens.

• Create high-quality 2D assets for mobile games, including UI elements, icons, cards, rewards, backgrounds, and layouts.
• Create and refine AI-assisted visual content for sports-themed banners, stadiums, playgrounds, environments, and promotional assets.
• Design sports-themed visuals such as players, equipment, collectibles, trophies, rewards, and event assets.
• Create visuals for F2P and monetization features, including progression systems, rewards, bundles, offers, and “wow” moments.
• Prepare Live Ops visuals for events, seasons, limited-time content, reskins, and special promotions.
• Produce marketing and social media assets such as banners, promo images, store visuals, and posts.
• Work closely with game designers and developers to make sure assets are clear, polished, and easy to implement.
• Iterate on visuals based on feedback, player response, and performance data.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Excellent visual sense and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of drawing fundamentals, composition, color, readability, and visual hierarchy.
• Practical acceptance and use of AI tools as part of the art production workflow.
• Basic understanding of Unity workflows, such as sprite export, slicing, and preparing assets for developers.
• Organized and process-driven approach to asset creation and documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working directly in Unity, including prefabs and implementing visual assets.
• Experience with TexturePacker or similar tools.
• Basic motion or animation skills, such as Spine, After Effects, Unity animations, or frame-by-frame animation.
• Understanding of readable UI/UX and monetization-driven visuals.
• Experience with Blender for simple 3D assets, materials, rendering, or creating 2D outputs.
• Experience with Figma or Miro.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools, especially ComfyUI and node-based workflows.
• Experience creating Live Ops content, event reskins, and seasonal themes.
• Knowledge of mobile graphics optimization, including resolution, performance, and memory.
• Background in casual or mid-core F2P mobile games.

• You are hands-on and comfortable working in a small company environment.
• You understand that visuals in F2P games support clarity, excitement, monetization, and player engagement.
• You are comfortable producing variations, reskins, rarities, level upgrades, and themed versions of assets.
• You can iterate quickly and improve visuals based on feedback and data.
• You keep up with trends in mobile games, F2P visuals, AI-assisted production, and social media creatives.
• You can work with existing visual styles and improve them instead of always starting from scratch.

• Salary starting from €1,400/month, depending on experience, skill level, and contribution.
