Are you an experienced 180 Recruitment Consultant who thrives on building candidate networks, uncovering opportunities, and creating placements through proactive market engagement?
We're looking for a driven and commercially minded recruiter to join our fully remote team, supporting the UK market across technical sectors. This is not a traditional resourcing role. You'll play a key role in generating opportunities by identifying exceptional candidates, taking them to market, and converting conversations into placements.

Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Delivery
- Proactively source and engage high-quality candidates across technical markets.
- Conduct detailed qualification calls to assess:
- Project experience
- Responsibilities and scope
- Project values and package ownership
- Technical expertise
- Motivations for moving
- Build strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage candidates through interview, offer, and placement stages.
Candidate-Led Business Development (Spec-Out Campaigns)
This is a core part of the role.
- Identify and qualify Most Placeable Candidates (MPCs).
- Create targeted lists of relevant UK employers and contractors.
- Produce compelling candidate marketing summaries.
- Present candidates directly to hiring managers.
- Follow up consistently to generate interviews, vacancies, and placement opportunities.
- Convert candidate-led activity into live recruitment opportunities.
Market Mapping & Research
- Conduct detailed market mapping across civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, engineering, and technical sectors.
- Identify key businesses, hiring managers, and decision-makers.
- Build structured target lists and talent pipelines.
- Monitor market trends, hiring activity, and competitor movements.
- Support strategic recruitment campaigns through research-driven insights.
Relationship Building & Phone Engagement
- Conduct high-volume candidate qualification calls.
- Present candidates confidently to prospective clients.
- Generate opportunities through proactive outbound calling.
- Build and maintain long-term candidate and client relationships.
- Spend a significant portion of the day engaging with candidates and hiring managers by phone.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate candidate records and activity logs.
- Track spec-out campaigns, outreach activity, and recruitment pipelines.
- Re-engage warm candidates and existing networks.
- Ensure CRM data remains up to date and well-organised.
Commercial Contribution
- Assess candidate suitability and marketability.
- Identify target companies with hiring potential.
- Support campaign planning and recruitment strategy.
- Contribute to overall team delivery and placement success.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
You Must Have:
- Previous experience working in a 180 Recruitment Consultant, Delivery Consultant, Resourcer, Talent Partner, or Candidate-Focused Recruitment role.
- Recruitment experience within one or more of the following sectors:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction
- Engineering
- Architecture
- Mining
- Infrastructure
- Technical Recruitment
- Proven market mapping experience, including identifying target companies, decision-makers, talent pools, and hiring trends.
- Strong candidate sourcing and headhunting experience.
- Excellent telephone communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience conducting detailed candidate qualification interviews.
- A proactive and commercially driven mindset with the ability to create opportunities rather than wait for them.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Availability to work aligned to UK business hours.
Highly Desirable
- Previous UK recruitment experience.
- Experience running candidate-led business development or spec-out campaigns.
- Experience recruiting within the infrastructure or built environment sectors.
- Track record of generating opportunities through candidate marketing activities.
